Let me introduce myself. I am Ayushi, and I am going to educate you on putting makeup for a casual day look which is very simple, stunning, and remarkably quick.
You do not need to put in so much effort using numberless products, instead, I’ll offer my suggestions in a straightforward manner to ensure even the most basic tools you have on hand evolve your confidence without out of looking like having spent hours preparing.
Let’s get started!
The First Step: A Clean Canvas
Before heading to the fun bit, let us discuss one of the most over looked, yet important components when working with unnoticeable makeup, which is getting ready. Like focusing on a new construction project, you need your skin for doing makeup.
Cleansing and Hydrating
Now, imagine the first step you do is art. Focusing on all the details that need to be painted on the canvas.
The last thing you want is to paint on dirt, right? So, as your skin. If it’s oily, dry or sensitive – a gentle cleanser must be used first in order to remove the dirt and oils accumulated both during the day and night.
Now, into the moisturizing step. A nourishing skin moisturizer is essential to getting the makeup hebavable ready to be placed on.
Refraining from feeling heavier throughout the day while taking on other tasks need not to be worried about with a lightweight moisturizer, Versatile moisturizers can be used for both daily as well as weekday looks.
Sunscreen, Always
Sunscreen application often skipped recon skin care paving the path for later skin issues that no one wants.
Providing useful feature of avoiding UV rays and slowing down new wrinkles and dark spots, sunscreen also does the opposite. Combining it with a moisturizer or a primer allows the appropriate skin protection while a strap will not be feeling throughout the day.
Choosing the Right Base: Less is More
If you are firmly set on achieving a natural looking makeup, one of the initial things you will want to think about is your base. The goal is to balance your skin tone while retaining your skin’s texture. Excessive foundation or thick makeup is certainly off the table. A gentle approach is the desired method.
Light Coverage Foundation
Looking back through my years of experience, one of the critical things I would emphasize is the attempt of using heavy foundations. In the long run, it could lead to a more caked look which does no one any favors. Instead, try a lightweight BB cream or CC cream, and don’t forget; these also come in tinted versions. They’re perfect for smoothing out skin tone, while synergistically enhancing your features.
As for which product to use, your best bet would be something that is tailored to your skin tone. Along with that, I have found that trying it out on your jawline and neck is a great way since these areas tend to be free from too many other skin factors enabling it to guide you towards an accurate indication of a good match.
How to Apply It:
Pick a tool that does not ruin the brightness of your foundation. A makeup brush or sponge works well, but if you are really pressed for time (which we all know can happen), applying it with fingers works too. Blend from the center of your face and move outwards towards your hairline. The goal is to look like you have even coverage and make it feel like you’re not wearing anything
Concealer: Brighten and Correct
An effective concealer can disguise practically any surface level blemish which is why they can be so useful. For a natural makeup look that is effortless, remember not to overdo it. Use concealer to lighten the dark circles under your eyes or on any redness or blemishes.
In my experience, under eyes appear much more bright and lively if a concealer slightly lighter than one’s foundation is used. Dabbing tiny dots of concealer to the intended area and gently mixing it using fingers or a sponge, concentrating on the problem areas, works best.
Enhancing Your Brows
Your brows can have a major influence on your face identity. Remember that for a natural finish, there is no need to over sculpt or overly define the brows. There is a noticeable difference to be gained just by accentuating the brows to frame the face.
Choosing the Right Brow Product
When choosing a brow product for a natural look, make sure to avoid thick products with very dark hues. Pencils and gels can get quite handy if they are fine tipped as they are easy to control allowing for a subtle look. The color should be close to the user’s hair. Starting lighter is the best approach, especially for those unsure as if the color is too dark, it is more difficult to fix dark brows.
How to Apply:
Use a spoolie to brush your brows into place, then fill in any gaps with soft strokes. Follow your natural brow shape while keeping the look soft and gentle. If you want your brows to be more well-defined, use a clear brow gel to keep your brows in place.
Soft, Defined Eyes: The Secret to Natural Beauty
For any eye makeup, less is more. Strive to achieve a soft and subtle appearance. Eyeshadow application should always be light in the case of a natural look, so spend minimal effort to avoid looking overly done.
Eyeshadow: Go for Neutral Tones
For a fresh looking natural appearance, neutral shades like soft browns, peach and beige work beautifully. Apply a wash of eyeshadow all over the eyelids to give just the right amount of definition. It’s also advised to go for matte or satin finishes because fresh looks have too bold.
Mascara: A Light Coat for Beautiful Lashes
Opens the eyes and gives a soft lifting glow to the lashes. In achieving a natural appearance, waterproof mascaras are a bit too heavy and should be avoided. Go for light, lengthening mascara. Textured ones can be good but applied only lightly. Aim for one light coat on top lashes while bottom lashes can go for slight touch.
Do keep in mind the intention is aiming for naturally longer and fuller looking lashes instead of thick, dramatic lashes.
Cheeks: Add a Touch of Color
Now bring your cheeks back to life. Eyes are done so make sure to achieve a natural habit by using blush. That’s how a real glow can be.
Blush and Highlighter: The Finishing Touches
Personally, I like a cream blush for a softer dewy finish, but powder will work as well.
Make sure to stick with soft peach, pink or rose shades. Apply it on the apples of your cheeks. Make sure to blend it upwards towards your temples to help lift your face for a gentle flush.
When it comes to highlighter, the rule is: less is more.
A soft, creamy highlighter applied to the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and underneath your brow bone will offer a stunning glowing effect without it being too much. Midtoned champagne highlighters are the best for a warm subtle glow, and I suggest a more neutral one for this purpose.
Lips: Keep It Soft and Hydrated
Now for the lips! There’s no need for anything bold or dramatic. For a glass-skin look, it’s best to go with tinted lip balms, lip glosses, or sheers as they provide just the right amount of color without being heavy.
Lip Care is Key
Ensure hydration before applying any product on the lips. Cracked lips peaks through the best-looking lip colors. It is advisable to use lip balm throughout the day to keep lips smooth.
How to Apply Lip Color:
To achieve a no-makeup makeup look, a sheer lip balm or tint can be dabbed onto the lips. For a more natural look, the balm can be blended with the fingertips. For more color, a soft nude or rosy shade that complements the natural lip color can be used.
Setting the Makeup: Keep It Fresh All Day
To set the makeup for the entire day, do not go overboard. A natural finish requires light, dewy feel.
Setting Spray and Powder
If you want to maintain makeup freshness without looking too matte, consider dewy setting sprays to lock everything in. This helps with maintaining the glow without having to use powder. If you feel oily during the day, apply translucent powder to the T-zone.
My Opinion | Embrace Your Natural Beauty
This is how to apply makeup for a natural look; simple techniques along with encouraging one’s features. Focusing on light, buildable products along with the best features ensures a fresh look without the heavy feeling of a full face of makeup.
The crucial check is the application of less products so for those getting ready for the day, a try with the simple steps will make one feel confident enough to take on the day.
